I remember when Ford released the 1.6 2ltr OHC the stat was on its side on the front of the engine, that stat didn't have a hole and caused problems if you didn't put one in it, and make sure it was at the top when fitted!

Well to solve the original question. ....
I don't thing my head doesn't have the bypass hole so looks like I'll be going without!
Can someone please clarify exactly where it is? (For a noob like me :) )
